House Activity Day

Today we had our House Activity Day. We were allowed to dress up in our house colours and each house took part in activities that our House Leaders organised. There were Obstacle Courses, Gumboot Throwing Competitions, T-ball, Cricket, Basketball and Mini Olmpic activities that we took part in. We had a lot of fun.

Yahoo Treat - Term 3

At the end of Term 3 we had our term treat. This term we had 2 children from each syndicate have their name pulled out of the Yahoo boxes and they were the winners of a Fish n Chip lunch with Mr Smith and Mrs Brown.

Allenton School Kapa Haka does Pōwhiri for visitors

Today, the Senior Kapa Haka students did a pōwhiri to welcome some visitors to our school. Bailey did a korero (speech).

At the end of Term 2 there was a special Yahoo draw where if we had a Yahoo in the box we were in with the chance to get a treat. To get the treat we had to show Aroha or show good Communication skills and if the teachers caught us doing these Allenton School ACE things we went in the draw to win a Hot Chocolate.

There was one winner from each syndicate and they got to choose a friend to go with them. We went to Bedrock on the first Wednesday of Term 3 after lunch with Mrs Aberhart. It was lots of fun.

Cross Country

Allenton School Cross Country!!!

This term Allenton School had their cross country. It was a successful event and lots of parents came to watch. This event was held at Argyle Park with distances ranging from 1 lap to 2 and a half laps.  The senior students that could not take part participated by helping guide children around the course.  We were lucky enough to have nice weather on the day that it was on. Well done to all of the children that took part and congratulations to the place getters.

Jump Rope for Heart

This term we had a Jump Rope for Heart afternoon. We did skipping activities in our house groups. It was lots of fun and we raised lots of money for the Heart Foundation.
